  7. The Lord Sysops and IGM Authors Conference is a forum for both
  8. Sysops involved in Lord, and for Authors of In Game Modules.
  9. We encourage the positive feedback of information to the authors
  10. from Sysops regarding bugs in codes, instead of hearing rantings of
  11. how many millions you can make from it.  We also encourage IGM Authors
  12. to announce new releases of IGM's as well as participating in the support
  13. of their IGM in this echo.

  16. 1.  High Security Echo. IGM Authors and Lord Sysops ONLY!
  17.     Ensure your system is setup to NOT allow normal users into this echo,
  18.     as the echo was created for the IGM Authors and Lord Sysops only.
  19.  
  20. 2.  Real Names are to be used in this area.. No alias' are allowed.
  21.  
  22. 3.  Feedback to Authors regarding bugs, fixes or 'wish lists' is definately
  23.     on topic in this area. Positive feedback is a lot more meaningful to
  24.     IGM Authors than rantings of how to exploit them.
  25.  
  26. 4.  Please limit announcements of your IGM's to once every week (minimum)
  27.     or so.  We are very happy to see new IGM's, but do not particularly
  28.     want to see 300 postings a week on who has what new IGM's, as it will
  29.     take away from the purpose of this echo.
  30.  
  31. 5.  Technical help/discussions by Sysops such as Lordnet Routing,
  32.     NC functions, multiline and operating system setups.
  33.  
  34. 6.  Keep foul language to yourself and don't quote somebody elses foul
  35.     language either.
  36.  
  37. 7.  All messages and subsequent replies shall be of a positive nature. We all
  38.     slip up from time to time, but as general practice let's try to keep
  39.     things as friendly as possible.
  40.  
  41. 8.  Don't be easily annoyed. Be helpful and Considerate. We were all new at
  42.     this at one time and had to follow the learning curve.
  43.  
  44. 9.  No ANSI Graphics are permitted in any message. Keep signatures down to
  45.     three lines or less.
  46.  
  47. 10. Keep your quoting to the minimum necessary to establish the context of
  48.     your reply. Certainly, don't quote more than you originate.
  49.  
  50. 11. TRY NOT TO TYPE WITH THE CAPS KEY DOWN. This is known as
  51.     shouting, and is considered bad manners, not to mention the fact
  52.     that it will make you go absolutely blind!!
  53.  
  54. 12. No Encrypted mail flow is allowed.
  55.  
  56. 13. Discussion of Jennie Codes, Robbing Banks etc, are STRICTLY forbidden.
  57.  
  58. 14. Gating of this echo into other networks will be done with the approval
  59.     of the moderators.  Unauthorized gating will result in feed cuts.

  61. 15. This is a technical support echo. Participants of the area will receive
  62.     the 1st warning publically in the echo.  The second warning will come
  63.     via netmail, and the third infraction of rules results in an automatic
  64.     feed cut.
  65.  
  66. 16. Please allow the moderators to do their jobs...ie, leave the moderating
  67.     to the moderators.
  68.  
  69. 17. Replies to moderator messages will not be tolerated in the echo.
  70.     IF you have an original complaint or are not happy with a moderator's
  71.     decision, the ONLY way to deal with it is via Netmail.

  73. 18. That's it, except that if someone comes up with a new and improved way to
  74.     aggravate all and sundry we reserve the right to make a rule to fit the
  75.     occasion.
